How to Generate the RL-31 Slip

Instructions
To generate RL-31 slips, you need your transmitter number. To receive it, follow this procedure. With Proprio Expert, you can generate your RL-31 slip between December 1st and February 28th. Between March 1st and November 30th, this service will not be available.
1. Go to the “Reports” tab, and click on “RL-31 Slip” in the “Statements and declarations” section.
2. Click on “Add” at the top right.
3. Enter your transmitter number under “Transmitter Number.”
4. Make sure that the “Taxation Year” is correct and that the “Type of Declaration” is “Original.”
5. Under “Statement Number,” enter the first number of the series of sequential numbers provided to you by Revenu Québec. It is in the same email as your transmitter number.
6. Select all your units (tick “Unit” or “Apartment”).
7. Click on “Finish.”
8. If you want to transmit your slips right away, skip to step 10. If not, click on “Cancel.”
9. Once you are ready to transmit the slips to Revenu Québec, click on “Transmit.”
10. Enter your identification number, which is made up of 10 digits, and click on “Transmit.”
11. Answer “Yes” to the question to confirm that you want to transmit your slips.
12. Once the slips are approved by Revenu Québec, click on “Email” to send them to your tenants.
13. Click on “Send.”
You have now generated and sent the RL-31 slips.

Here is how you generate RL-31 slips.
To generate the slips, you need to have your transmitter number and your sequence of identification numbers. To receive them, you must fill out the transmitter registration form, which is the ED-430-V form.

When you have your transmitter number and your identification numbers, go to the “Reports” tab, click on “RL-31 Slip,” and click on “Add.”
Enter your transmitter number, which starts with “NP,” select the right taxation year, and tick “Original.”
Select all your units.
Enter the first number of the series of sequential numbers provided to you by Revenu Québec. It is in the same email as your transmitter number.
Then, click on “Finish.”
If you want to transmit your slips right away, enter your identification number, which is made up of 10 digits, and click on “Transmit.” If not, click on “Cancel.”
When you are ready to transmit the new RL-31 slips to Revenu Québec, click on “Transmit.”
Again, you need to enter your identification number, which is made up of 10 digits, and click on “Transmit.”
Answer “Yes” to the question to confirm that you want to transmit your slips. You must be sure that the information in your slips is correct before you transmit them.
Once the slips are approved by Revenu Québec, you can go back to this page and click on “Email.”
Click on “Send,” and your tenants will receive their RL-31 slips via email.
